A GROUP OF students from a high school in Texas are going viral after they bought two kittens for a teacher whose cat had died.
One of the students, Rachel Hanhart, told Buzzfeed that they decided to surprise Andrews after she broke down and told the class that her 16-year-old cat had just passed away.
At first, they considered getting her flowers and cake – then decided to go one better.
They searched internet ads for local kittens up for adoption, then bought two tiny fluffballs to present to Andrews the next day:

The video of Andrews’ heartwarming reaction to the kittens has been retweeted more than 66,000 times – and the internet being the internet, people have tried to paint the timing of the gesture as ‘insensitive’.
But Hanhart explained that her teacher was going to adopt two new kittens anyway:
She is extremely happy to have Missy and Girlie. She cries every time she watches the video over again and has thanked all of us more times than we can count.
Just adorable.
